Chrome and Firefox

This guide provides instructions on how to use Evomi’s proxies with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers.

Chrome

Manual Configuration

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll down and click on “Advanced”.
  3. Under the “System” section, click on “Open your computer’s proxy settings”.
  4. In the Windows Settings (or System Preferences on Mac):
    • Toggle “Use a proxy server” to On.
    • Enter the Evomi proxy address (e.g., rp.evomi.com) in the “Address” field.
    • Enter the appropriate port (e.g., 1000 for HTTP) in the “Port” field.
    • Click “Save”.

Using a Chrome Extension

  1. Install the “Proxy SwitchyOmega” extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click on the extension icon and select “Options”.
  3. Create a new profile and name it “Evomi”.
  4. In the profile settings:
    • Protocol: HTTP
    • Server: rp.evomi.com
    • Port: 1000 (or appropriate port for your chosen protocol)
  5. Check “Use Authentication” and enter your Evomi username and password.
  6. Save the profile and switch to it when you want to use the Evomi proxy.

Firefox

Manual Configuration

  1. Open Firefox and go to Options/Preferences.
  2. Scroll down to “Network Settings” and click “Settings”.
  3. Select “Manual proxy configuration”.
  4. Enter the Evomi proxy address (e.g., rp.evomi.com) in the “HTTP Proxy” field.
  5. Enter the appropriate port (e.g., 1000 for HTTP) in the port field.
  6. Check “Use this proxy server for all protocols”.
  7. Click “OK” to save the settings.

Using a Firefox Add-on

  1. Install the “FoxyProxy Standard” add-on from Firefox Add-ons.
  2. Click on the FoxyProxy icon and select “Options”.
  3. Add a new proxy configuration:
    • Proxy Type: HTTP
    • Proxy IP address or DNS name: rp.evomi.com
    • Port: 1000 (or appropriate port for your chosen protocol)
  4. In the “Authentication” tab, enter your Evomi username and password.
  5. Save the configuration and enable it when you want to use the Evomi proxy.

Evomi Proxy Endpoints

Remember to use the correct endpoint and port based on the Evomi product you’re using:

Residential Proxies

  • HTTP Proxy: rp.evomi.com:1000
  • HTTPs Proxy: rp.evomi.com:1001
  • SOCKS5 Proxy: rp.evomi.com:1002

Mobile Proxies

  • HTTP Proxy: mp.evomi.com:3000
  • HTTPs Proxy: mp.evomi.com:3001
  • SOCKS5 Proxy: mp.evomi.com:3002

Datacenter Proxies

  • HTTP Proxy: dcp.evomi.com:2000
  • HTTPs Proxy: dcp.evomi.com:2001
  • SOCKS5 Proxy: dcp.evomi.com:2002

Tips and Troubleshooting

  • Always remember to disable the proxy or switch back to direct connection when you’re not using it.
  • If you’re experiencing slow connections, try switching to a different Evomi endpoint or protocol.
  • For HTTPS connections, you might encounter certificate warnings. Proceed with caution and only if you trust the source.
  • Remember that your Evomi username and password will be your_username:your_password_session-anychars_mode-speed

By following this guide, you should now be able to use Evomi proxies directly in your Chrome or Firefox browser for various web activities.
